SUBMISSION OF DIGITAL FILES
Files can be submitted in CDR, EPS, PDF, AI and JPG format.

FILEFORMATS

  • Concerning logo’s we prefer EPS files. These files contain so called vectors, which lead to a fixed resolution of the logo even when it is enlarged. Moreover, with EPS files we are able to separate the colours in the right way.
  • When the logo contains text, the text has to be converted into outlines. You can also send us the used font.
  • Mostly you can ask for a EPS file at the printing company that is responsible for your letter heads and business cards.
  • It is not enough to “save as” a JPG file into an EPS file. The EPS file still contains the  JPG file which we are not able to work with.

PHOTOS AND OTHER PIXELFILES
Submit as JPG.
Scale: Files have to be edited 1:1 (true size).
Resolution: Please use a resolution of 300 dpi for photos and pictures. It is no use enlarging the resolution as these files will become extremely big  and the printing result will not be better.
Overfill: Please edit files with 2mm. overfill. A design has to have 2mm. overfill con all sides compared to the final clean cut result. The background of your design has to continue in these 2mm. in order to not result in white edges on the final result.

CMYK vs. RGB & PMS
Our printers are compatible for CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) colours. Therefore please try to always work in this colour mode from the start. Nevertheless, In the case a file is edited in RGB and/or PMS colours, our printer drivers will automatically convert these into CMYK. This may cause unexpected results.

LOGOS FROM THE INTERNET? LOGOS IN WORD?
Pictures from the internet never have the desired resolution: the quality is not good enough by far. Word, Excel, or other software programmes are not intended to design or edit logos: these files are fundamentally not suitable. Moreover, these files do not contain vectors and therefore cannot be expressed in separate colours.

SOFTWARE
We work with Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator in the latest versions.

Submit DXF files (when not possible, DWG/EPS (unfilled) is an alternative)
